About me

I was born in Greenville, Mississippi in March of 1977, and moved to Monroe, Louisiana before I could remember. My mom and dad divorced when I was a baby so I went through the whole single-mom-visit-dad thing. And we moved a lot. I have lived in Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and several other states which I forget right now. I'm well travelled for my age.

When I was just a kid, I developed an interest in reading--alot. I've read classics, pop fiction, science fiction, Ayn Rand, religious works, and tons of non-fiction. I've also performed Shakespeare, classical theatre, and musical theatre. I enjoy art museums, independent movies, and have a penchant for Dali and W.M. Chase. I guess most people would say I'm rather artsy.

While not pursuing writing, I work in the internet business. It's quite fun. I've been an account executive, web developer, technical support rep, and content developer. I've also worked as a hardware technician and network engineer.

My favorite movie is probably either The Lion in Winter or Moulin Rouge. My favorite composer is Rachmaninoff (with favorite classical piece being his Piano Concerto No. 3). My favorite food is anything Italian, favorite beverage is Guinness, and favorite car is the BMW 5 series.

I have been married (now divorced), have two kids, and a big, supportive extended family. Hobbies include outdoors activies like walking and biking, travelling, webpage design, reading, writing, sailing, and talking on the phone. Mundane life, I know.

As I crept toward the doors, the muted sounds of a trumpet tickled my ears. There was music playing somewhere in Hall B. I pressed my ear to the door. Someone laughed. I cracked the door just wide enough to stick my head inside.

Just as Leon has promised, a girl sat behind a small desk reading Cosmopolitan. Bleached blonde bangs protruded from beneath a baseball cap embroidered with Greek letters. Oblivious to the five people seated around the table only feet away, their laughter and the jazz blaring from a stereo in the corner did not prevent her from answering the ringing phone.

?Hall B? Hey baby. Take me to the movies tonight. I want to see that new Julia Roberts movie. Okay? See you then.? Before she could return to her magazine, she saw me in the doorway. ?Can I help you??
